Jennifer Woodruff is a technology transactions and privacy attorney whose work sits at the intersection of commercial strategy and technology risk. She helps clients build defensible privacy and cybersecurity programs, navigate AI governance, and negotiate high-stakes technology agreements. Having worked in-house, in government, and in private practice across several sectors, Jennifer brings an adaptive and personalized approach to each engagement.
Jennifer’s practice is built around long-term client relationships and embedded counsel support. She partners with clients’ legal and technology teams to structure and negotiate complex SaaS, licensing, and services transactions, while focusing on the data protection, security, and IP provisions that often drive deal risk. Jennifer is known for translating technical and regulatory complexity into clear options and practical decisions that business leaders can use.
Prior to OGC, Jennifer was Assistant General Counsel at KinderCare, served as a Senior Assistant Attorney General with the Oregon Department of Justice (including as co-chair of the Business Transaction Section’s Information Technology and Intellectual Property practice group), and practiced telecommunications law at Davis Wright Tremaine.
Jennifer is admitted to practice in Oregon and Alaska (inactive) and also holds AIGP, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, and CIPM professional certifications. Outside the office, she has completed multiple mountain bike and triathlon endurance events and climbed several Northwest peaks.
